I started this topic for a simple reason, just want every Mauritian(s) bloggers or even general visitors & the public in general to voice out their problems concerning our state (mauritius)
At a time when Mauritius is being considered as a knowledge hub, cyber country, secure country & financially healthy country
Many negative things are happening, the economic crisis, suicides, killings, we are being deprived from our mutual rights!
What are your concerns? what should we Mauritians do??
Hi all bloggers and friends, first sorry for not being active the past few weeks as i was a bit taken up with work and other stuffs,
Now lets get back to the real topic, i have been thinking about this topic for a long time and was also waiting for the media to come with it but unfortunately nobody raised this issue
Following the recent decrease in the price of fuel (diesel,unleaded etc…) i strongly insist that bus ticket prices should go down, the bus companies are taking advance of us Mauritians and making huge profits per day
When the price of fuels was increased, almost all bus companies were protesting for an increase in bus tickets, what happen now? why are they not insisting for a decrease? SIMPLE : because they are taking advantage of us
Do you agree with this statement? should we insist for a decrease? guys do you imagine, nearly 70 % of us use bus transport system and paying approximately 54 rupees per day (aller-retour) is that easy? if u calculate the total in one (1) month , it becomes a huge amount!!!
We should act concerning this issue and show that we mauritians are not “couyon” as the government and other institutions think!!!!

I am writing this new post out of despair and complete anger, I have always been an orange (ex cellplus) user for many years but yesterday something “unknown” happened that really angered me, actually during the night of Saturday to Sunday, Orange mobile was working on their network to make it better but due to that i got a serious problem which even the orange people dont know how it cropped up I AM UNABLE TO SEND SMS when i called the customer care, they told me the problem is with my mobile, not saying anything further, i did the following steps to verify whether the problem is really with my mobile or them
1. I put my sim on my wife mobile and even then i could not send sms
2. I put my wife sim on my mobile, i was able to sms
** Conclusion ** The problem cannot be with my mobile, else how would i be able to send sms with my wife sim??.
I called those guys again and again they told me that the problem is with my mobile, i told them several times that i put the sim on another mobile but still could not sms, whats more amazing is i can call, browse the web, video call, send mms etc… except i cannot send SMS but i can receive SMS
when i told these to the agent talking to me, she told me that maybe i still have problem with my mobile, as i am able to send mms, she said that MMS works VIA SMS :D, a big laugh, as far i know we should have MMS configuration so that we can send MMS and that works via wap/data
I called them a third time in the evening and this time another agent told me that my sim is damaged and i should take it to their repair center or wait until a technician looks into this matter on monday (today)
Three agents told me three different things, whom should i believe and what should i do?
I am really angry with their service and treatment!!!
Till now my problem has not been solved
Following the recent update on wordpress , they committed many mistakes that led many users who updated to the latest version (2.6.3) have unknown problems, i myself have been victim of this, the developers seem to have missed certain features thus forcing these unknown errors
Some of the errors many users encountered are ” 404 error pages ”
Problem with posts permalinks
Index page corrupted
Some plug-ins not working
Database corrupted
Blog owners are advised to always have a backup of their database
However among all these bad points there is still a good news, wordpress latest version that is version 2.7 is brilliant and has a new look admin interface and a lot of new features

The past few weeks there have been so many unwanted issues which most of you had never imagined to be happening some years ago, where are we going now? Most precisely i am talking about respect towards people/brother and sister, am sure many of you have heard the headlines below many times the past few weeks :

Thats just a few of some 25 cases the past two weeks, where are we going? isnt there enough security in this country now? are people’s going nuts? There have been atleast 3 cases where a brother raped her sister, why????? isn’t there respect between a brother and sister now? how will the person feel if someday someone rape his wife or daughter? is there growing concern about security in this country? there are so many questions, will there ever be an answer to these? is the government doing enough for the security of its citizen’s? Personally am disappointed with this situation, it seems there is not enough law to combat these issue’s , at times i feel concerned about my own security and that of my family, is that the case with you? does this issue affect you?
Hi guys after a short downtime and inactivity here i am back and on the way i would just like to tell you that my site might soon change look
well here i am with my new post Bus transportation system in Mauritius?
hundreds of Mauritians per day suffer because of this shit transportation system which i my view is very unorganized,
one must see the traffic at p-louis from 7 a.m -> 10 a.m, all seems to be blocked but why? can’t there be a better organization? Many mauritians complains that they do not get adequate facilities and services, many villages for example don’t get enough public transport and so on.
have you ever been in problem because of this system? what are your views?
Since some days i am thinking about changing the theme of my blog for many reasons but till now i haven’t reach any conclusion.
Many of you will say, why should i move to another one when i already have a nice looking theme?
Below are some of the reasons that are pushing me to adopt another theme
The theme i am currently using :
1. It was adapted for wordpress V1.x
2. It is not search engine friendly i.e ; (msn,google,yahoo etc…)
3. It is very time comsuming and complicated to maintain it
4. It does not support widgets
5. It gives weird displays at times
6. Many more….
Since this theme was built for wordpress version 1.x i had to rewrite some of the code structures to make it work with latest version(s) of wordpress
i cannot add any widgets to it since it does not support widgets system
i often have to do huge maintenance to make it work fine
but now i find it very hard and very often wordpress releases new version of its script and i cannot keep changing the theme codes to make it work,
Below is a screenshot of a theme i have tweaked and planning to use in a near future, however before any final decision i would like to know your views and comments about this one

Reasons thats pushing me to chose this theme :
1. It is widget aware
2. It can be easily updated to support future/latest version of wordpress
3. It is search engine friendly
4. It loads fast and it is standard compliant
So guys/girls should i change to this new theme or stick with the current one?
