Bus Ticket prices should go down!!!
Nov 12th, 2008 by Sailesh

Hi all bloggers and friends, first sorry for not being active the past few weeks as i was a bit taken up with work and other stuffs,
Now lets get back to the real topic, i have been thinking about this topic for a long time and was also waiting for the media to come with it but unfortunately nobody raised this issue
Following the recent decrease in the price of fuel (diesel, unleaded etc…) i strongly insist that bus ticket prices should go down, the bus companies are taking advance of us Mauritians and making huge profits per day
When the price of fuels was increased, almost all bus companies were protesting for an increase in bus tickets, what happen now? why are they not insisting for a decrease? SIMPLE : because they are taking advantage of us
Do you agree with this statement? should we insist for a decrease? guys do you imagine, nearly 70 % of us use bus transport system and paying approximately 54 rupees per day (aller-retour) is that easy? if u calculate the total in one (1) month , it becomes a huge amount!!!
We should act concerning this issue and show that we mauritians are not “couyon” as the government and other institutions think!!!!
We live in a bullshit country..
Ya you are right, people are too naive to raise their voice
:s
very unfair towards us mauritian people!!
even travelling in bus is becoming a kind of luxury thing now!!
no1 is taking initiative to protest against this and even if there is some people, then it is only a minority :\
no1 hears the voice of a minority of people!!
Ya you are right daks, thats truely unfair to us mauritians!!!
Then make them hear the voice of the majority..Make those minority become majority..
“”We should act concerning this issue and show that we mauritians are not “couyon” as the government and other institutions think!!!!”"
Thats true.. we must ACT! And surely mauritians are not couyon… but the majority are the the YES-GO-ALONG of the gov! We are the minority who dare to talk. And if we think that the naive majority will support us…then… nek dir BANLA donne 1 2 tempo…sim card…. portab cado sa… the majority will say “Priz transport bon la” wlol..
I think the best idea will be that we have a automatic transport pricing regulating board…such that they decide about changes in prices based on the changes in price of petrol.
Great point Avish, i strongly agree what you said. we should indeed have an automatic transport pricing regulating board and we should dare to raise our voice and let the government know about our issues!!!
